Magnolia dominated both sides of the ball in a 49-21 win over visiting Hot Springs Friday night.

Recovering two fumbles and forcing two fourth-down stops, the Panthers held a 42-7 halftime lead after rushing touchdowns from five different players.

Payton Campbell, Kadyn Roach, Tayvon Patterson and Octavius Smith each ran for a score as Magnolia took a 28-0 lead in the second quarter.

The Trojans averted the shutout on a 25-yard touchdown by Joseph Westbrook, but two touchdowns from Roach and a six-yard score from Terry Lambert stretched Magnolia's lead to 49-7 in the third.

Spencer Johnson ran for Trojan touchdowns in the third and fourth quarter to set the final margin.

Dropping to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in conference, Hot Springs hosts White Hall next week before traveling to Camden Fairview Oct. 27.

The Trojans close the regular season against Lakeside Nov. 3 at Reese Memorial Stadium.
