Spencer Johnson's 8-yard run with 2:41 left in the game set the winning margin. Hot Springs (1-4, 1-1 5A-South) padded a 21-7 halftime lead on Deante Sanders' 3-yard run and Christian Jovel's fourth extra point with 7:53 left in the third quarter.

Damien Walker, Coby Wallace and Chris Stewart each ran for a touchdown in the first half for Hot Springs.

Stewart sneaked 1 yard with 20 seconds left in the half for a 21-7 edge over Hope (0-5, 0-2).

Walker scored from 13 yards out at 9:22, and Wallace went 3 yards at 3:08 of the first quarter.
